As someone who has six fig trees, I thought this book might have some interesting variations on standard fig recipes—the usual preserves, etc. Instead, I was blown away by a vast array of diverse (and delicious!) recipes spanning every course of a meal, and beyond. Appetizers, salads, main courses, desserts, and recipes that could easily be given as gifts are all covered. The photography is exquisite, and the recipes are well-researched. This is a very sophisticated book that deserves to be a classic in the cookbook library of every discerning cook. This is a beautiful book. It is easy to see when viewing it why it won 2 awards. It has vibrant colorful pictures, recipes for anything you could imagine to do with figs (and things you wouldn't have imagined). It also has great infor about varieties of figs, how to pick a fig, and how to store and dry them. If you have a fig tree or plan to get one, I highly recommend this book!!!!Okay book.Liked the recipes in this book and the presentation so much that we have given it as gifts to friends.I love this book!
