I have been following L.A.'s Hyperions for a few years now and its great to see them finally have a worldwide! This is a fantastic album with a rockabilly, swing and even a bit of ska influence...their cover of "Gangsters" by the Specials is truly magnificent. But for me, its their wonderful interpretation of Sun Sessions era rockabilly that has always hooked me, check out their previous releases HOWL and their debut DARKTIME for a purer sound. Jason Planco writes and sings some great dark rockabilly songs, and Annette Valdes sings a great song on this, "Temptation"! Buy Buy Buy! And go see them live...
